Weird how things work

Yesterday I couldn't find anything in this neighborhood and today there are five new listings within 2 blocks of the place. I called about two of them (the other two were out of my pricerange) and decided that one was a horrible deal (more than I pay now and without any utilities included, so it'd be basically $300/mo more than I wanted to spend ( Read more... )

How much /mo is it?

I /might/ be looking to get a cheaper place sometime in a few months.

Welp, gone now, but it was going for $725. The first one was $950 before utils (and they estimated around $1050 with them, plus no parking or washer/dryer, heh).

The guy said he might have another one available here pretty soon for ~$750, so I'm gonna keep an eye out for it, although it's not in the same neighborhood.

My rent's higher than I would like to be paying ($895 before the end-of-lease raise), but I figured that I was in a pretty bad spot last year and deserved to spoil myself, heh. And yeah, that didn't go exactly as planned -- never assume that b/c a place is brand new that it has any sort of sound insulation.

Right now, I'm willing to pay at most about what I'm paying now (although if it's like God Himself came down and created the perfect apartment, I'd probably go to $950, heh).
