I hear that, although, oddly, I actually listen to a lot of that music now. Hen-Pen's post actually sent me off on a weird alterna-verse YouTube search of my own where I listened to a lot Leather Strip for some reason.
Maybe I was just stubborn at the time, or maybe there's an embedded sense of nostalgia I am enjoying.
I have been going through my old MP3s, a lot of stuff from MP3.com that I haven't listened to in 10 years, and there's a lot of dross in there, and some stuff I loved at download now does nothing for me.
Ironically, it's only been in recent years, since the deathrock revival has caught on, that the sort of scene i spent most of my 20s and 30s longing for finally exists. Most of what I have heard has been dull or just awful. Or cookie-cutter '80s stuff. Any recommendations? I rediscovered Belisha in my MP3 collection the other day, and I think you recommended them to me ( ... )
