So, last night we went to see Peter Murphy and his band play their set of Bauhaus songs. While i was looking forward to it, after the great show they put on earlier this year, i did have some mixed feelings about the material they were to play this time. Sounds like it was pretty good.
I got chills when I saw him and I recognised Dark Entries.
Bit of a bugger he skipped Perth, but I am not surprised given the minimal crowd.

New Peter Murphy album? Sign me up. He only has one dud.

It'll be Dust and Unshattered. Turns out there's two albums I am cool on.
One is less interesting to me than the other, I just have no memories of either.
Ninth is great though.

You were there last night? I'm sorry we didn't see you.

I enjoyed the gig, but have to sheepishly admit I preferred his solo show earlier this year. The sound was better, and, um, well... I don't really know that much Bauhaus.

We were up the front left, and ran out quickly at the end.

I thought the previous show was a better performance, but this one hit the nostalgia button in just the right way, reminding me of why and how I loved Bauhaus in the first place. The smaller crowd made it more comfortable too.

It has left my feelings on leaving the past in the past even more mixed, though.
