i did the same thing when i lived at home. my bedroom was on the opposite end of the house from my parents and brothers, and every time i went to the bathroom in the night, i'd have to run real fast 'cause i was afraid someone was watching me. it's weird, i know, but i think everybody feels like that at times. ♥

Yay! I'm not going insane! I feel a lot calmer about it now; I sat down with my parents and we went through all the security details (and there are a lot because my dad is a real stickler), so I could see the logic behind the fact that the house is totally safe. I think it's because we've been robbed a lot. Well, not a lot. Once when I was about 4/5 (I think I saw them that time, but I can't really remember), once about 4 years ago and once about a year ago. That was the worst one: we'd just moved into the house, and there was no security, not even a gate (our contractors hadn't finished on time). Ever since then, I've felt kind of vulnerable.

so glad you're feeling better about your safety. we've never been broken into any of the places we've lived at, so i don't know how it feels, but i imagine it's a very scary feeling. *hugs*
