Yeah, especially without going through all the usual greivance proceedings (which can take months). I feel a little like a sell out because I had all these great fantasies about them crawling back saying how wrong they were and me telling them to stick it, but... meh.
My benefits are nice and not going broke is nice and not having to move is nice, so... here I am. But I think I'm going to keep pushing myself to find out what else there is for me in this life because the fact that I've let this ridiculous airline job consume almost all of it is a little depressing.
That is only natural Cris. My job is by no means my dream job, not even close, but it does the same to me. It is our means for survival. You are still young (25 next month right?), and this is just a stepping stone to the next opportunity. Plus, you are getting to see things that most people our age only dream of seeing.
That was incredibly ridiculous for them to treat you that way though. I hope someone gave them a stern talking to.
i concur, but at least they didn't wait until after i'd thrown out the trash (with my uniform in it) and spent the money to ship all the heavy shit to houston.
being lazy works and dragging your heels works out sometimes.
