I loved Frances' face across the room when Beau is talking about his 'sources'. Haha.
And I have an idea to help Ripp get back in shape...wink wink, nudge nudge....Alright, I'm done.

I don't think Frances can hear them (being inside a bar and all), but he assumes the worst. Which is probably the sensible assumption with those two.

Heheh. Oh I'm sure he's already onboard with that workout regime. It's about the only exercise he gets.

Beau can be such a tease... why won't Ripp learn it's just easier to give in, and go with it?

Yeah, Ripp actually figures that out eventually. The only way to turn it around on Beau is to do that. Which is why he eventually just gives him a big ol' sloppy kiss in the flower shop, which finally shuts him up (for a little while).

Beau and Jaxy have a really interesting dynamic, I would love to see more of them together. Their interactions read as being really fun to write, if that makes sense. Awesome scene and I'm glad you've kicked your writer's block in the arse!

I think someone like Jaxy could just as easily dislike someone like Beau, but for some reason I just thought she'd go the other way with him and completely love him. The way he gets to Ripp no doubt only adds to that. She likes that he has guts, and I think his overwhelming positivity would be good for her.

Thanks. I did have to fight with this one a little (I had really just a third of it written previously), so maybe that bodes well for tackling the last bits of scene for the next chapter. There's really not that much left to do. I just need to buckle down and do it.

LOL! That's a pretty accurate depiction of Ripp's personality. If his head could do that, it probably would. And I'm sure he prefers to have their negative attention than none at all. Most definitely.

I have a lot of fun playing those guys off each other. Also fun is the fact that the only person Beau is even remotely intimidated by is Johnny. He finds him terrifying.

I love the way you write Beau. I think Ripp doesn't like him because he takes attention away from himself. That comic below is a perfect representation of that.
I am also glad you are getting your mojo back. Your story is just great and I hope to see updates again.

Yeah, I think that's part of it. He doesn't like him horning in on his good friend Jaxy, who does shower him with a lot of attention (some of it aggressive, but hey). I also think they're too much alike in ways that are loud and obnoxious and so they tend to butt heads with each other. They could probably be good friends if they weren't good enemies.

Writing Beau is fun. I'm always surprised at some of the words and phrases his character seems to produce with hardly any input from me. I go on autopilot a lot with Beau, because he's developed a very strong voice.

Thank you. I'm going to keep picking away at it and hopefully the momentum will build again. I'm really quite well into completing the next chapter, at least where the writing is concerned.
