…I was fisting…

What can one expect of one who died before that term took on a more prurient meaning?

Interesting find though. I came into contact with Watt's works well before I found J. Krishnamurti's. In a way, he got me ready.

Aren't you in Ecuador already, or did I get your time line wrong?

Yep, Watts really does get your mind ready.

I leave tomorrow, so today I'm running around here like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get things done! :p

i wonder if he might not have been aware of that term's more prurient uses, judging from his apparent self-amusement.

that was pretty cool. first time i'd actually *seen* the guy as opposed to having read his stuff. i am firmly convinced he must've been the inspiration for Obi Wan Kenobi.

let me know if you encounter any ayahuasca or shamans down there...

I have been in love with Alan Watts for years now. I remember watching what you posted with my grandmother, who I miss so much, she introduced me to this blessed soul. Have you ever read
"The Supreme Identity". It is his deepest work and also his most western. Thanks for posting this S.D. It brought back many warm memories. I may not agree with everything Watts has to say, but I could listen to him say it for hours!! He once said he liked the sound of his own voice. Can one blame him?

That's some awesome stuff! defining a sun by its heat or light. I never thought of that.
