Smallville does Outbreak, AKA:
Well, shit. I had fangirl wanking on the Lex dream that the spoilers were pointing to. I had yards and yards of fanwanking. I was so ready to bury myself under the sand of the Nile and never come out.
I LOVE ALMILES! <--- That is the first and the last time I will ever ever ever say that.
Something I would like to say about the episode right off the bat: I loved the music in the episode. The back ground music was amazing (not the Mindy Smith, but the orchestra), can anyone tell me what it was? *bats eyelashes*
What annoys me: dreams are rarely literal. They almost never deal with the reality of what the person that is dreaming, espically nightmares. Everything is symbolic because dreams are a way of the brain to work out things in the night but can not be done in a linear manner. If you want to watch a good dream episode, watch 'Restless', season for BtVS. Joss Wheddon knew what he was doing and was a god in his action.
The Lex dream had visions of Wheddon -- it was also the dream of 'Hourglass'. Apparently Almiles realized that doing a Lexana wedding would be taking it too far after last week's 'Bound'. They probably also didn't want to upset the fangirls, confuse the tweens and get into an Opedius complex thing that would make the show amazingly dark.
Dream one, Jason -
Jason still sees the relationship between Clark and Lana, which is odd because he seems to be the one still harping on it, bringing up Clark first in their conversations. I don't see Lana talking much about him in Paris, so I think this is just some of Jason's uncertanty at the tenure of their relationship. Plus, he dreamed that Lana thought he was creepy for following her back from Paris. He knows it was strange, he knows it was odd and that gives him some props. Odd he didn't dream about the tattoo.
Dream two, Chloe -
There's not much to say here but I can see this as a way to ultimately end Chloe. I would love to see this story line pan out though.
Dream three, Lana -
Lana is self centered 'They're all going to leave you.' 'I couldn't just sit around and watch them die.' 'Do you think I'm that shallow' and this is something we know. What puzzles me is how much she seems to need other people. She reminds me of those girls in high school who don't think they're complete without a boyfriend and bevy of people following her.
And again, Lana is being made a victim at the end by Jason leaving her. Again, we must pity her.
Dream four, Clark -
While Clark dreams about trying and getting rejected by Lana, I think that 'Lana' represets the general population in his dream. I can't explain it further but it makes more practical sense, espically with her forcing the K on him in the end.
Dream five, Lex -
What we were fearing but it's merely a rehash of 'Hourglass'. Which IMHO, was fantastic. This is what Lex fears above all and he was even showing shades of season one Lex during the episode. The way he was putting himself above others, it just screams of season one and shows that he's changing but there is still good there.
Lionel's out and I'm thrilled. Taking bets to see who got him out. My guess is Dr. Quinn.
So - anyone want to guess what Bo's dream was? I'm guessing not being able to love his cows.
Wish there had been a monkey.
*sighs* I've written six pages so far today. Go me!
