Sad News For December

Recently, I made an entry about my best friend moving away for a job but we didn't know where she was going. Today, she called to tell me that she will be moving to Long Island, New York. This as we can all see, is not good. We live in Texas and she's going. Right now, I'm in a state of shock but it's mixed with just such... well, shock. She's

I don't have much to say here, it'll be weird and hard at first but it won't be as bad as it sounds right now. Like you said, you're in shock but slowly you'll get used to it. Besides, you now have a place to stay in Long Island, make sure you take advantage of that while she is tehre because she'll eventually move back. *nod*

Yeah, it's nice that everyone keeps pointing the good out to me. I'm just taking time to be a bit selfish because I want her here, damnit.

Hey you have every right to be selfish, especially around here. I know you're being suportive and putting on a brave face for her, so here you get to kick and scream and say you don't want her to go as much as you want. *hugs*

Wow, that will be culture shock, going from Texas to New York. It might be rough at first, but I'm sure you two will find a way to stay connected and/or visit each other often.

It's pretty awful at first, but you'll get used to being on the phone, trust me. It will still be good, just different. And as far as being brave and stoic, screw that, it's vastly overrated.
