Been trying to find a used wool pea coat for a while now. It's hard for me to find one online because of the fun combo of being super short, but having a slightly longer torso. Plus, not cheap. Also, I wanted a nice slightly fitted Women's one, not a generic boxy shaped men's style

Win!! :D I too have had a hard time finding a nice peacoat, all the straight size ones don't close across my boobs but plus size ones tend to be too big and boxy, and leave too much draping so they don't even keep me warm unless I layer.

Some people swear by Dryel, but after I used a kit at my local laundromat I found that it didn't really get my conference wear as clean as I would've liked. But that's the travails of laundromats...it might work quite well if you have a dryer at home.

Ooh, score! Fancy thrift store scores make me unreasonably happy. And sadly, I don't have the experience to answer your questions, but with wool, I'd probably opt to take it to the cleaner, as I'd likely do something wrong and mess it up.
