Seriously? They're worried about getting rabies from a completely indoor cat who is now the only house cat? What a crock!!
You may also want to talk to another vet. If I'm not mistaken, they will probably drug her to keep her quiet while they do the dental work. It may not be wise to trust them, especially with the history of giving her the wrong stuff.
Oh yes, I'm quite serious. I had a long follow-up call with Dr. Dan. (It was Dr. Mike who nearly killed Pippin when he used the wrong starter agents with the vaccine). He said that under the circumstances, he would be willing to 'make an exception' and clean Pippin's teeth on Monday so I'm going to take her over there in the morning. Hopefully she won't ever need another vet visit again because I have no intention of taking her back except for emergencies. In the future, I'll take any new pets to a different vet. That's too bad. I liked Dr. Mike and Dr. Dan but not enough to continue putting my pets' health in their hands.
I like them, too, but it's a shame that they had such problems with Pippin. I know no one is perfect, but considering the circumstances, I can see why they've lost your trust.
