Taichi's growth has been all vertical. He's taller than Mizuki now but skinny and lanky, all awkward limbs that get in the way when he's playing tennis. His headband no longer slips and keeps back his hair, which he has also grown to near shoulder-length.
He is nervous but determined and approaches Mizuki first. There's a smaller chance of rejection there.
"Taichi wants to try having sex," Mizuki brings up casually, the next time he meets Akutsu.
Akutsu doesn't react.
"He wants you and me to be his firsts." He does not mention that he's already had a taste. Just a little sample, enough to know that Taichi is eager, and a very quick learner.
"He's dead serious."

Akutsu and Mizuki have done plenty of things they would not brag about and neither has found much use for conscience. But nothing they've done quite prepares them for the nagging guilt, that dirty feeling crawling along their skins as they engage in a threesome with Taichi.
There's several awkward first starts, which neither are used to, and only Taichi's pleas carries them through. Akutsu takes Taichi from the back while Taichi sucks Mizuki off and although they find a comfortable rhythm, the balance is off.
Their relationship was of convenience and now they've brought in feelings. The whole house of cards comes tumbling down.
"You can be with him," Mizuki says and he suddenly thinks of Yuuta and wonders how he is, if he's still going out with that girl with pink hairclips.
"Che. He's better off with you."
They can't look each other in the eye and Mizuki knows. It's all over now. Time to go their separate ways.
