I hate promises. I hate permanent decisions, because they say something that is not true. They say that I will be the same person from one moment to the next. And THAT is a FUCKING LIE. No matter who you are. We are a process, not a thing. We change from moment to moment, undeniably.

I also hate socks.

I definately know what you're talking about as far as life being a process. If you've read my entries, I'm a different person from one day to the next. Thanks for your comments!
BTW, Socks wouldn't be around if it would just quit snowing. Dammit.

i dunno, i kind of like socks, though i prefer to wear flip-flops and no socks. and i think that although we change from day to day, we are not a completely different person. i think deep down, there is always something about "you" that makes you "you". For example, i am friends with people who i've known since i was 5 years old, and even though they have undergone a tremendous amount of changes, their essential being is very much the same. But you're right, life is a process, and much of who we are changes from one moment to the next, though i don't think everything about us changes from day to day.
