The Iowa Supreme court has overturned a law banning same sex marriage as unconstitutional. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it sticks.

Well, unfortunately many are using gay marriage. I linked the update on another site and they used gay marriage, which made me itch too.

I don't like the term for a different reason; it implies there are two different things - straight marriage and gay marriage. I prefer 'equal marriage' since the idea should be for everyone to have an equal opportunity to marry whoever they want.
