How the hell do I ask someone out on a date?

Ok, so if you don't want to hear my have a total spazz attack, don't click on the lj-cut.

Ok, so like I said in a post a few entries ago there's guy I kind of like............ and I wouldn't mind asking him on a date and all.  But I have no idea if he has a girlfriend already (it didn't seem like it when I was talking with him and his friends)  or ( Read more... )

I'd say just to go for it. I mean, if he's got a girlfriend, then he's got one... but that doesn't mean you can still hang out and have fun. Guys usually aren't weirded out by that sort of thing, so they don't usually think anything of it, so you don't really have to worry about it feelin' sorta awkward or anything.

When's your moving date? If you're still here, didja want to come to a small white-elephant party I'm throwin'?

Yeah, I am going to ask him, but I'd like to find out if he has a girlfriend first so I don't totally embarass my self. So with that said, does Scott have one? (god, I seriously can't believe I just asked that.)

I'm moving the 27th. I'd love to go, what date is it?

Oddly enough, I kinda had a feeling. He does have a girlfriend (long-distance relationship... she's in Louisiana D: )so I'm not quite sure how long it'll last (there's some stuff goin' on with her that's a bit off, as far as I'm aware).

I'll keep ya updated, though.

Oh. The party is on the 28th D: but I'll honestly see if I can maybe get it to where I can do it on the 27th.

Hrm, I just read your post and I see no harm with you asking him out directly. The payoffs are worth much more if you take the risk. Although you are sacrificing a bit of pride by leaving yourself open for a bit of embarrassment, people usually forget other's embarrassment as time flies by, so no worries about that.

Oop, just read the comments. X( And as you said, no harm done right? I hope you're doing okay now. :)

OMG~! Windy~! *glomps* I haven't talked to you in forever~!

I'm doing fine. I mean, if he didn't have a girlfriend then I be nervous as hell, but since he does I like 'meeh, oh well, better luck next time maybe'. Though it would have been nice if he didn't have one (though I'd still proabably get rejected).

As they've always said, "There's many fish in the sea."
