Yay! Almost Thursday!

Tomorrow I get to fly back to New Jersey and my own apartment! Virginia hasn't been too bad, but there's only so much you can do in a hotel to amuse yourself. Not to mention I miss my own bed and it's hard to maintain an exercise and healthy eating regime on the road. I've done pretty well - I used the hotel gym twice and I've eaten fairly ( Read more... )

i'm good for about 4 days in a hotel before i'm asked to leave. the first two days are screw with the stuff days, the next are screw with the help.(they love walking into a room that has been completely moved. after that it's screw with others. thats where i run into trouble, i once had 15 people looking for the indoor pool. it was november i was wet in swim trunks flip flops and floaties walking around. when asked i told them i just came from the pool. this is why i have trouble packing for trips, i never know what to bring

I can only hope that my nomination is still in contention...

I'm with you on hotel-induced boredom. Unless you're with a larger organization who's picking up your bar tabs (editor's note: is there anything in this world more depressing than a hotel bar?), 2 nights is about the maximum that you can stay in a hotel- by yourself- without boredom overtaking you. I'm not sure which chain you're staying at, but I've found hotel gyms- by and large- to be about as satisfying as their complimentary continental breakfasts. Except, y'know, without the Texas-sized Freedom Toast.

The gym was awful - the elliptical was on it's last legs and made horrendous sounds when I used it. If concord000 had been around, I would have borrowed a gun and put it out of its misery...
