My brother, a pilot of Southwest, had his nail clippers taken when boarding. When he asked why, he was told for security reasons so they could not be used to take a hostage and thus control of the plane. He replied that, as the pilot of the plane, he already had control, and actually was expected to control it. In fact, not having control of the plane is the problem to be concerned with, so from whom was he taking the plane? They still took the clippers. After he gets Air Marshall status, he will see if they still take the clippers and leave the Glock. ----- and just for note: I can only imagine what you would come up with for concealed condements. The mind reels.
