--looked over potential courses for next spring (since i don't get to choose any courses in the fall. I, um, marked 31 courses as "find out more" or "interested" in the papers they mailed me. have i mentioned that i'm excited? and perhaps rather burnt out at work ( Read more... )

You can fix those stitches by dropping them down (one at a time) and hooking them back up with a crochet needle, but it calls for a good bit of...chutzpah

how can i drop them down when they are so many rows back? they are pretty well woven in at this point...

You know how if you accidentally drop a stitch, the loop sort of falls down this ladder? If you do that on purpose, you can let the loop drop down to where you have the wrong stitch, and then pull the "ladder" bars through the loop one at at time to recreate the stitches. It's hard to explain, I'll look for a video online.

wow, that's a really hard thing to search. basically, drop a stitch down to the area that needs fixing, and then do this: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/pick-up-a-dropped-stitch-from-several-rows-below.html, doing the stitches in the correct orientation this time.
