That'll just make it embarassingly goofy to play in front of other people, less relaxing and it will filter out the non-athletes.

Maybe there will be a choice between "kinesthetic mode" and "potato mode".

I think the wii, despite its ridiculous name, is a sure thing, Vishal. The PS3 and the 360 are exciting in an incremental way--like the 60gig ipod versus the 40gig ipod.

Krudmonk is right that this'll be, in part, a social console. Some of the games will not be made to court the sedentary hardcore gamers. I don't think it'll require unnatural exuberance either, though. There'll always be games for the non-atheltic, but nintendo wants to make a console for regular people as well. That means, in part, removing the perception of video games as a medium designed for the anti-social and anti-athletic.

Yeah I seriously doubt this will even come close to simulating real quarterbacking. Just as Guitar Hero does not make you a freat guitarist. Or being good at DDR does not mean you can dance. Its just one tiny step closer and for some of us armchair QBs its golden.

As for being a sure thing I have to play it to feel it. The power glove was really bad.

I agree with nearly every point, except for the liability of porting games to both PS3 and Xbox 360. I agree its a problem but I don't think its a "big liability".

I think you are spot on with it being the perfect second system as well as a demographic breaker. I told a friend that you would be able to swing a sword in Zelda and he FLIPPED!!!
