Turn and face the strange

What this guy said:

"Just a quick note that the fastest way you can get me to unfriend you is to cross-post anything in this LJ on Facebook.

I haven't cross-connected my FB identity to my LJ. There is a reason for this."

I haven't cross-connected my FB identity to ANYTHING. I have not given it access to any of my address books either, although it keeps begging. Things are going to stay that way.

Likewise, anybody caught "colonising" anything or "checking in" anywhere relating to me will find themselves in a vat of boiling sharks!

Good idea to not let FaceBook into your other accounts. Identity hubs are a good idea, but letting FaceBook be your identity hub isn't. If you need a portable Id, www.myopenid.com has them.

agreed. I turned off that whole pinging thing - I want to keep LJ and FB seperate, thank you.

Sadly the pingback feature is a different feature from the thing that lets other people post comments to your entries. Right now, there's nothing you can do to stop anyone from doing that.

Succinctly put, strawberryfrog, I like the link/quote (ironically enough!)
