ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE
So guess who may or may not be straight in Hurricane Irene's path? Yeah.
I mean, there are still a few days to go, and anything could happen (any of you remember Earl, who turned around at literally the last second and just gave us rain?) but there's absolutely no way I'm not getting out of this without some storms. So a few relevant things!
Firstly, there's a good chance that I'm going to lose power for at least a day, and my mom said maybe even up to a week. I'm not so sure about that but in the event that I do totally disappear from everything from Saturday~Sunday, don't worry, I'm probably not dead, just without power! But if I haven't checked in after a week or so then maybe we can worry.
If I do manage to keep power and Internet during it, though, lemme tell you, I will be liveblogging the shit out of that storm, so if you aren't already following my Tumblr and Twitter, there's a reason to.
Anyway, I'm not very concerned; my mom's got supplies and this house has stood strong during, like, four hurricanes, including Bob and Gloria, so we should be good. The only danger from the storm itself, I think, would be tree branches falling onto the house, or just dying from boredom.
But yeah, TL;DR, I might lose power but I'm probably going to be safe!
In less storm-related news, I'm going to spend a day at my dad's sometime next week and we're going to completely clean his house, top to bottom. I'll take some before and after shots when I get the chance but just realize that, because my dad is at the ice cream shop most of the time and when he's not he's either sleeping or running errands, this is a huge deal. The deal we made was that with me helping clean, we would gather up all of the spare change we found and donate it! He said I could pick the charity and I chose the MSPCA. This is going to be a ton of fun and I'll post some progress shots when we finally do it!
And like I said last entry, I'm stealing connie_connike's thing and sticking Pokémon sprites linking to people in my profile, so just lemme know what Pokémon you guys want to be!
