Party Surprises [1/1]

Kida-kun had asked her if her apartment was available for a little Christmas party, just the three of them, and she had agreed to the sparks in his eyes. It'll make a good change to her usual solitary holiday, and she feels at ease with her two new companions.

He shows up at her door with Ryuugamine-kun and several bags in tow. She catches a glimpse of one of them and by logic, she deduces that they must all, in one form or another, be Christmas decorations. So she's taken by surprise, when Ryuugamine-kun offers her a different bag - it's a present from both of them, and she's touched by the gesture.

The blond makes them leave the house to pick up the take-out order at Russia Sushi. Although she's reluctant to leave (they're her guests after all), she trusts Kida-kun enough to not destroy anything.

When they come back, she's greeted with a kiss on her right cheek. Surprised (yet again...Kida-kun never runs dry of them), she stumbles backwards a little, before the blond shouts, "You too, Mikado~!!"

"Eeehhh?" Ryuugamine-kun pales,

Izaya tunes out the carols that are becoming too loud for his taste, even in the safety of his office. The bad thing about coming back to Ikebukuro is that people in this city never sleep - even though he appreciates this fact at other times.

He isn't one for Christmas - it's a sorry excuse of a commercialized holiday, much like Saint Valentine's; isn't the original meaning of Christmas love and family? Izaya loves humanity (as should humans love him), but it doesn't mean he will lavish Ikebukuro with the money he earns from his job. The simple notion sits oddly with him

Yami holds the bunch leaves and berries close to his face. "Aibou, what are these?"

The shorter of the duo looks up from the baubles in the box waiting to be hung onto the tree. "Oh, that's a mistletoe, mou hitori no boku."

"Is it edible?" He sniffs it.

"No," Yuugi laughs. "That's fake. And even if it's real, I wouldn't advise it, some may be poisonous."

"Then it's so useless," Yami declares, wrinkling his nose in disdain. "The colours are dull and it serves no purpose."

Yuugi is rather forcefully reminded of the kingly figure in mou hitori no Yuugi's past life. He laughs again, quietly. You have a lot to learn about modern times, mou hitori no boku. "On the contrary, it's been a very popular Christmas item since a long time ago

Pranks Are His Forte [1/1]

For all his unsuccessful romantic endeavours, Shizuo isn't entirely clueless about Christmas traditions. He knows his carols, getting Kasuka a present is a must, and of course, there's the dreaded-

Mistletoe. He grits his teeth and grounds his almost-done cigarette on the ground, irritated. It's probably Tom-san's idea of a joke (in very poor taste), but the other debt collector had told him to stand exactly where he is right now - and Shizuo isn't the type to ignore a command from someone he respects.

Idly, he wonders why he has to be here. Has Tom-san somehow miraculously arranged Kasuka to show up? He feels a prick of annoyance that he himself hasn't been able to secure a proper Christmas dinner because of some pressing matter for Kasuka. Well no matter, as brothers, it's time spent together that really counts
