One.
"Uwaaa.... I'm so exhausted!" Chinen exclaimed as he opened the door to the dressing room with a loud 'bang'. He immediately let his body land on the soft comforts of the couch while the other members entered behind him.
The BEST members were all seated around the table, everyone had their heads peacefully resting over it. "Mou~ I'm tired..." Daiki mumbled, stretching his arms forward. "...And hungry." Hikaru added as he lifted his head and rested it on his palm.
"Well, let's all have lunch together." Yamada suggested, holding his bento with him. The others nodded and took out their lunch boxes.
When everyone was finally seated, they all exclaimed together, "Itadakimasu!"
Maybe Hikaru was either too tired that he got so hungry or he just eats a lot that he managed to finish his lunch, plus two more that he bought, before everyone else finished theirs. "Hikaru-kun is amazing..." Inoo said as he stared at the BEST member seated beside him. "Ignore him or else you'll never get to finish your lunch." Yabu told him, not taking his attention away from his meal.
Without another word, Inoo nodded his head and resumed eating.
Hikaru's eyes moved from one member to another, as if searching for something intently. The silence in the room was finally interrupted when a loud "AHA!" came from him. Takaki almost jumped off from his seat and looked at Hikaru. "What the hell is your problem?! You want to give us a heart attack?"
Ignoring his remarks, Hikaru pointed at the seat beside Yuto. "Nee, where's Keito?" Yuto looked beside him and then back at the BEST member. "He went out to buy something to drink. And--HEY! What are you doing???" Yuto never finished his sentence as Hikaru magically crossed the table and took Keito's lunch.
"That's Keito's lunch!" Ryutaro called out to him but was ignored. Hikaru had a wide grin as he finished the English boy's lunch in a minute.
The moment Keito got back, his lunch had disappeared. "Eh? What happened? Who took my food?" He asked as he walked towards the table but everyone grew quiet. It was only Yabu who spoke. "We all went out to look for you but when we got here, it's already gone."
Everyone glared at him. But he didn't budge. "Sorry. Maybe someone from the Jrs. passed by."
Keito just sighed and took his seat. "Oh well, at least I managed to eat some."
Hikaru patted Yabu on the back as his way of saying thanks.
Two.
JUMP was given a day-off and everyone decided to have a picnic together.
Everyone made an agreement to bring their own lunch so that they won't have to buy at convenience stores anymore. As usual, Hikaru brought a lot. Well, almost everyone did.
They were all happily eating their lunch when a handkerchief flew past Keito, surprising him. "Eh?" He watched as the handkerchief flew further away from them. "Someone must've lost it." He said and stood up, leaving his bento behind. "I'll be back."
Yamada chuckled as he watched Keito run after the handkerchief. "He's being too kind." Chinen nodded and replied, "He doesn't even know who owns it."
"Ehh~~ it's a good thing, you know." The two members' eyes shifted at Hikaru's direction and immediately blurted out, "You're stealing Keito's lunch again!"
Ryutaro crawled from his place to try and stop Hikaru's mischief but was too late. The moment he got to the other side of the blanket, Hikaru was already gobbling the food. "I'm not covering up for you this time." Yabu said as he glared at the boy sitting next to him. "You shouldn't even be eating his lunch in the first place." Daiki added as he scooted a little further away from Hikaru, afraid that his lunch might be the next victim.
The moment he finished eating, he placed the bento back at its original place and looked at the others. "I know what I'm doing. Trust me."
And then, that sly grin appeared.
Inoo felt goosebumps run up his spine and exclaimed. "That's totally not fair!!!"
"What's not fair? And what happened to my lunch?" Everyone looked up and saw Keito. "Uhh..." Everyone was left speechless again.
"Well, a dog came running and ate it. Gomen, we tried to stop it but it was too fast." Hikaru was the one to defend himself this time. Yabu shook his head and sighed. Daiki felt ashamed that he was band mates with this kind of fellow. Inoo was practically glaring at him. If only Ryutaro wasn't sitting on the other side, he would've already choked Hikaru by this time.
"Oh. Good thing I brought an extra lunch, just in case." Keito didn't ask anymore and sat down.
From the side of his eye, Yuto saw Hikaru grin at Yabu. "See? I told you."
Three.
"Aren't you getting suspicious, Keito?" Yuto asked as he and the rest of 7 lined up for their group picture. Their lunch break just finished and Keito only managed to eat half of his because of the moment he was called by one of the photographers for a re-take of his solo shots, Hikaru took it again.
Keito looked at him and answered, "About what?" Yuto thought that this guy was obviously not taking things seriously. "I mean... your lunch always disappears. Don't you think someone must have been stealing it?"
"Yeah! Like Hikaru!" Ryutaro immediately blurted out. Chinen and Yamada nodded. Keito just shook his head in response. "EHHH??!! Seriously? You don't suspect him?" All of them said in unison.
Keito let out a soft chuckle before answering. "Well, I don't have any reasons to get suspicious of him or any of the other members, for that matter."
The four looked away in disappointment.
'He's just too kind...' Yuto rubbed his forehead. He was getting a headache with this guy.
'This isn't the time to be like that, Keito.' Yamada sighed.
'I don't know what to call him... a saint or just plain stupid.' Ryutaro growled in his mind.
'I pity him.' Chinen thought.
Four.
"You should really stop stealing Keito's lunch Hikaru." Takaki said as he was ironing his hair. The 7 members were all gathered at the other room for another photoshoot that week.
Yabu, who was fixing his costume nodded his head in agreement. "Sometimes your pranks aren't funny anymore." As the acting leader of the group, he should control his members and make sure they don't do anything stupid.
Well, he did let Hikaru off the hook the first three times, but this boy was going way too far.
Daiki was listening to his iPod, but he still managed to join the conversation. "If Keito knew what you've been doing to his lunch, he'll be mad at you."
"But, I kinda doubt that." Inoo suddenly interrupted. "Huh? What do you mean?" Inoo sat beside him and sighed. "Keito is too kind nee... He'll just end up forgiving Hikaru. And that idiot would probably do it again." Finally getting what he meant, Daiki nodded. "You're right...Keito is like an angel who doesn't get mad."
"Uh... by 'that idiot', did you mean this spineless little creep who just managed to steal another one of 'the angel's' lunch?" Takaki pointed towards Hikaru who was sitting beside him. His back was facing everyone and when they took a closer look, he was actually holding onto Keito's lunch box.
"You monster..." Yabu shot him a look of disgust as he walked past him and left the room. "Keito shouldn't have left his bag open..." Daiki sighed and followed the older boy out.
Without another word, Takaki stopped ironing his hair and left after the two.
Inoo, who was left behind, looked around. "Eh? Eh? Hey! Don't leave me with him!" He called out as he ran out of the room, leaving Hikaru on his own.
Weird enough, it didn't seem like he was paying any attention to the four the whole time. "Hm? What happened?" He suddenly looked up, placing the lunch box down at the table and leaving the room.
The moment 7 came back, they were all surprised to see Keito's lunch box empty.
"I knew this would happen." Ryutaro mumbled under his breath.
Five.
It was finally lunch break, the moment Hikaru has been waiting for every single day. "Ah, I'm tired from all that dancing." Keito said as he plopped down at the sofa. "I'm going to sleep for a while." He added, closing his eyes.
"Aren't you going to eat lunch with us, Keito?" Yamada asked while everyone else seated themselves around the table. "Maybe later...I had to stay up late last night because of my homeworks..." Keito trailed off and drifted off to sleep.
"Poor boy, his school gives him a lot of homeworks even though he's busy with work." Daiki said as he opened his bento, "Itadakimasu."
Everyone was quietly eating their meals when Yuto suddenly spoke up. "I feel an evil presence behind me." The moment everyone looked behind him, they saw Hikaru sitting beside Keito's bag. "You idiot!" Takaki yelled and threw his chopsticks at him. Good thing he was finished eating.
Hikaru winced and looked up. "Shh...you might wake him up." Takaki quickly stood up for an attempt to murder this guy but was successfully pulled back to his seat by Inoo and Daiki.
"Hikaru-kun, don't you feel sorry for Keito?" Chinen asked, as he looked at him. "Don't worry, he always brings an extra lunch with him." Hikaru answered confidently, still busy eating what's left inside the lunch box.
Yamada frowned and walked towards his friend's bag and opened it for Hikaru to see. "But today he didn't brought any extra. You practically ate the only one he has." What he said made Hikaru stop and look at him. "B-but...he should've said so! And he could always buy another one."
Yuto shook his head in annoyance. "Why would he? He didn't even know that his lunch was being targeted by one of his band mates."
Inoo walked beside Yamada and took the lunch box from Hikaru's hand. "That's not the point here. Whether or not he can afford to buy a new lunch, the thing is... You're betraying his trust." He looked down at the empty container and added, "Well, you did manage to finish it all." He placed it back inside Keito's bag and closed it. "Happy?"
Hikaru never replied and took a seat on the other corner of the room.
When Keito woke up, Ryutaro immediately handed him a new lunch box. "I bought this a while ago while you were asleep." He said. "But... I already brought mine."
Yabu patted the boy's head and replied, "You left your bag open and it fell." Without any other explanations given, Keito just smiled and accepted Ryutaro's offer. "Thank you."
"Your welcome." The younger boy smiled back.
Plus One.
"I'm so glad we didn't have to work so hard today!" Chinen was practically twirling his way to the dressing room. The other members laughed while they watched the little guy celebrate. "And I got to have a little chat with Ohno-kun as well~"
Yuto laughed as he took a seat. "Chinen, stop twirling and start eating."
"We still have an interview later, so we shouldn't relax too much." Yabu added as he took a seat beside Takaki. Inoo and Daiki followed.
Chinen was still wearing that bright smile as he seated himself in front of Daiki. "Ah, Chinen-kun please stop smiling like that. I won't be able to eat properly." He joked.
The younger boy just kept his smile on his face and asked, "Why?" Daiki reached out his hand and ruffled the boy's hair with a reply, "I'd be too distracted with your cute face."
Everyone else agreed and laughed.
"Hey, Hikaru-kun, aren't you going to eat?" Keito asked as he looked at the BEST member seated at the sofa. "Nah...I don't feel like eating. Besides, I didn't bring any lunch with me today and I'm too lazy to buy one." Hikaru replied dully.
Yamada tapped his shoulder and said, "Don't mind him."
"Yeah, it's his way of paying for his sins." Ryutaro told him as he took another bite of his food. "He deserves it for always stealing your lunch." Inoo added.
Everyone seemed to agree. The other day, Hikaru told him about all the times he stole his lunch and apologized. Keito forgave him already, but it seems the older boy still feels guilty. He stood up from his seat and walked towards Hikaru.
The rest of JUMP looked at him, waiting for what will occur.
Hikaru was surprised when Keito placed his lunch box on his lap. "Eh? What are you doing?" He asked. "You can have my lunch if you want to."
With a smile, he added, "All you had to say was 'please' and 'thank you'."
Owari.
