1) I guess it's an inside joke with myself. The idea is that I'm so much of a bum that nothing I write in my journal could possibly be about anything but bumhood. I have actually been tempted to put something else as the subject a few times, but I've stood strong.
2) I've never read Emerson's essays. I read Thoreau's Walden, and I can't say I was the biggest fan, but just because Thoreau liked Emerson doesn't mean anything, I suppose.
3) Hmm...what is my favourite of the places I've been, or what would be my favourite place to go?
