London has lots to offer. Covent Garden, Carnaby street, Piccadilly Circus and all the streets from there. I usually avoid Oxford street, but if you haven't been before it could be quite an experience. That's just from the top - I'm not sure what you're looking for. Although The Tower of London can be thought provoking...

I recommend checking out The Redback, in East Acton. They have live music almost every night and you can get a cider/lager drink for two quid.

...oh, and the one touristy thing I like is the aforementioned Tower of London Tour. You'll get to see the bloody side of English History.

The only "Must SEE!" thing IMHO is the British Museum.. it has the Rosetta Stone for christ sakes...
