since your entry was deleted before i could post my response to your last comment, here it is:

Anarchy is going nowhere, and that is why it works.

and i still do not understand why you think anarchism refers to a system of government. how can you formulate a consistent definition of anarchism that refers to an Anarchist Government (i've never heard this before)?

Because your comment is suprisingly civil, I will answer.

If everyone followed the ideal of Anarchism, it would BECOME government. Because it's "Non-system" has BECOME our system. I could explain the physics of THIS philosophy but it would take an entire book to do so. Basically if you read "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" by Bruce Lee, it may make sense. His book IS that book.

i don't think it (anarchy) could become government, because it is the becoming-governmental of non-governed masses of people.

i'll check out that bruce lee book, thanks for the recommendation.

also, i don't know of any self-professed anarchists who want everyone to be anarchists all the time, to 'follow the ideal'. at least none who want it bad enough to enforce it.

It's time to pick up a weapon and FIGHT for our freedom and topple this opressive American Empire.

If only more people felt that way...at least you have some in Florida (home of the next president - the smarter, more-evil-because-he-can-hide-it-better Bush son).

I'm not a typical anarchist - I fucking LOVE violence, weapons, and cookin' up drugs with my chemistry set. Fuck sitting around and waiting for change, maybe it's time to take our future in our own fucking hands. I'm sure other anarchists will flame me for speaking my mind - fuck em.

Petrol bombs and rocks will NOT FUCKING CUT IT. Shouting clever slogans while standing / marching / walking in the streets is NOT GOING TO DO IT. Oh but if we start talking about weapons or self defence all the anarchists get all uppity and start talking of peace and love and other bullshit that does not work when your enemy is a fucking ARMED FORCE.

I could go on forever...

Uhm ... I see we agree.

You're right. The excuse of "But Ghandi did it!" doesn't work because he is ONE PERSON. Put his situation up against the people who just FOUGHT for their freedom, and see a serious difference in numbers. While Ghandi is like one of five people able to solve HUGE POLITICAL ISSUES with passive tactics, THOUSANDS have acquire the same freedom through fighting back. And sustained far less injuries.

Thats not flaming thats debating. >_< Which is respectable, but I'm trying to NOT respect anarchists at the moment. So if you could please scream "You know nothing of life or living you pathetic mortal worm!" I would much appreciate it.

And in response: I resist.

You say that no one has any real political influence on the system or the government, but isn't it just as, if not more, important to have influence on regular citizens? Friends, family, children, strangers? It may not add up to something powerful enough to change the world, but the world consists of individuals and not just one indistinguishable collective. And the notion behind changing the government is only so that they will treat people better, but if you just communicate with the people yourself you can affect their life even more than the governmant could. Yes there will still be suffering, as it is inevitable, but what's needed is a better way to deal with the suffering. And who knows, maybe you can start a chain reaction that will fruit effectively soon enough.

I was just doing some sappy rambling in response to your anarchists post. Sorry for the confusion, Home skillet.
