I've been complaining a lot...

I didn't go to my high school graduation. It was scheduled for the Thursday before Thanksgiving (dumb scheduling - Why not have it IN THE SUMMER before we all went to University???) and I had a university Chemistry test on the Friday (Also dumb scheduling, but at least the prof apologized profusely.) So I wasn't going to drive two hours home, go to ( Read more... )

That would be a tough thing. They schedule it for the fall as there are those that need summer for summer school or to finish off community service hours. They figure the Thursday before Thanksgiving most students will be on their way home (Di barely made it to ours).

I didn't go to the one for my victory lap (yours) cause I didn't feel like paying for the rent of the hat and gown when it wasn't really my year. Looking back, I would have liked to of gone as several friends did graduate that year.

*hugs I'm sure it wasn't an easy choice to make. I would have probably done the same.

I suppose that's logical... A few people who can't make it on Thursday is a lot better than a lot of people who were still missing courses....

That's the weird thing. It was a perfectly easy choice at the time. "I'm not spending $40 of gas and 4 extra hours of driving just to go listen to some speeches." It wasn't until I heard that song that it hit me that I missed out.

At least I still have the big one, short of any horrible change in circumstances :)

And you made a lightbulb go off - There's still a good friend of mine who graduates this year. I've emailed her to ask her when the grad is, so that MAYBE I can go. Short of another dumb Chem test.

*hugs* Your comments always make me smile :)

By 'MAYBE I can go' I'm referring to as a spectator. Not as a graduate. I didn't even go to her school XD
