Ramblings, Meryl picture spam.

In other news, I downloaded a few Shakespeare audiobooks (brilliant, but I wish I could find "The Taming Of The Shrew") and Ellen Degenere's audiobook, hoping it would be funny (it wasn't). I've been reading a lot of books about WWII and Holocaust lately. I've always been interested in WWII for some reason. I love history, but there is nothing more ( Read more... )

I have never seen the pic of meryl and susan before =D *snagging*
Thank you soo much!

I remember that my history teacher told us that "The War of Our Childhood: Memories of World War II " is a good book. But I'm not quite sure.
I didn't read it yet.

Yeah on the Meryl pic-spam, did I inspire you? ^^

As for the audiobooks."Shawdowlands" and "Agnes of God". Okay, those aren't about history, they are good though ... What about the Anne Frank diary?

Okay, then, first of all the audiobooks I've mentioned before.

"The Hours" by Michael Cunningham, "Mrs Dalloway" and "Orlando" by Virginia Woolf. "Smoke and Mirrors" by Neil Gaiman. "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshimoto. Stephen King shortstories ... these are my favorites.

I've read pretty much all books by Virginia Woolf. Great choices. :) I'll have to buy "The Hours", I can't find the e-book anywhere and I've been looking everywhere. I'll check out the other ones. Thank you for the suggestions!

Why yes I have seen the film! *le tears*

I have plenty more pictures from Auschwitz if you'd like to see. Visited there in 2004.

Oh you're a weirdo like me. I've been fascinated with the place since I was 12, also. Creepy.

Yes, I would love to see them all and you know it. :)

It's not weird. Don't forget we're half-siblings. ;)

I am absolutely dying to see A Prairie Home Companion and The Devil Wears Prada. They both look amazing in their own ways. And when I saw The Omen on Tuesday, they showed the trailer for tDWP, and I almost died. Meryl looks like such a smokin' hot babe! That white/gray hair totally did it for me. Good lord. And of course the whole time I was thinking of you. :P

And I'm not even looking forward to seeing "The Devil Wears Prada". I'm such a bad fan. Mwahaha.

Well honestly, the only thing that makes me want to see it is Meryl. Otherwise, I couldn't give a crap.

I don't give a crap, Meryl or no Meryl. It makes me sad to see such a brilliant actress playing such trivial and dumb roles. My favourite Meryl movies are her older ones, such as: "The Deer Hunter", "Plenty", "Kramer vs. Kramer", "The French Lieutenant's Woman", "Out Of Africa", "Sophie's Choice", "Ironweed", "A Cry In The Dark". Dramas. That's what I like. I love dramas. I couldn't care less about her comedies from the 90s or hew newer movies (with the exception of "The Hours" and "Adaptation"). I'm very picky, yes. :)
