Mah nuckle is still tender...thanks Socks...what is it with you and shooting my hands (more specifically my knuckles)? That one spot on my rib is still really really tender too, but luckly those are the only things giving me trouble, streching really paid off ( Read more... )

I started reading it but I put it down to work with the deck and the food...then I didn't remeber to pick it up. I still want to read that eventually.

I still can't wrap my head around how everyone else likes the Rabbit but I just can't seem to enjoy it. Maybe it was mostly due to the salesperson being kind of a dick.

Hmmm...You probably have, but did you consider renting with someone to get out of the house yet have it reasonable to live and save? I'm not volunteering for that position or anything ;) but I didn't know if that would be an option you could explore. As for the summer, ick....um, if I'm back in the area...I could always provide for distraction if anything. Hang in there.

Oh I did see listing for a condo out here for 97,000....it actually looked rather nice....though, I don't think you want to move out here so, D'oH!

I have considered that but there arn't many people that I think I could live with that don't already have arrangements. How long until you volenteer for that position (I can't see you being confortable at your dad's and I can't see you living at your mom's confortably for very long due to lack of space)?

There are some sub 100K condos in Hoffman Estates, I'm intrested in those actually.

Several factors would be at play A)I'd have to be 100% definite on coming home, I.E. get a job around there....B)I'd have to stay at Mom's for atleast a year...this allows me to pay off a good chunk of my loans so I don't have to deal with that anymore and C) it all depends on where my job is too....cause if I have something south of Villa Park...I don't really want to move too far north...the drive would be a bitch (I know you can understand that).

To be honest, Dad's was never going to be an option. Neither from his side or mine.

But more of that will be decided once I actually GET a job...application starts Friday...

Dude, I'm so in the same boat. I've been tucking away about 85% of my paycheck so I can eventually get a new car (primary goal at the moment) and move out (secondary). My current car's on it's last leg, and I can't bother spending anymore on it. I've really been looking into a Mini for a few reasons:

-Compact car, and even as a compact, it's more space than I need.
-OMFWOW gas mileage: #1 item of importance in a new car now
-BMW warranty

As for moving out; uprooting takes a bit of time and a lot of money. If I plan to move out and get a place of my own in the Chicagoland area & 'burbs, not only do I have the expense of moving, but also changing insurance, driver's license, the wonderful new expense of emissions testing, as well as an iPass, forward addresses to worry about, then finally getting together with my mephit...

I really like the mini but it starts at the top end of my proposed budget. I could afford more for a car but I don't see why I should; I've always driven a compact, I loved them, and it's all the space I need. After everything I've driven the Impreza felt hunge ( ... )

I'm just feeling like I'm painted into a corner and I have to suffer the bordom and smell as I wait for it to dry before I can get out and move on.

That's probably the best analogy I've heard about the situation... except for me I've had to sleep overnight in that corner because the paint dries so slow.
