=O that's a lot of boarding passes! I'm still afraid of plane rides, am afraid that the plane I'm on will go plummeting down at any moment. =p

I doubt I'd last through the military service either, so I'm glad I was born a girl. =P There are stories of soldiers who collapsed dead from heart failure and stuff. o-o (I heard that the sons of ministers are given lighter treatment. =P)

Have fun here! How long will you be around for? =o Enjoy those weeks, I'd be slogging through exams till early December. =P

Sons of the ministers are given lighter treatment? Doesn't that seem wrong and doesn't anyone get angry?

I'll be here until just before New Years- the show closes on Dec. 27 so you'll be able to go for sure when I sort out how to get you tickets for you and a friend.

I can't remember if anyone got angry, but I doubt that a military officer would want to be responsible if he made those sons undergo some harsh training and they somehow died from overexertion! =p

=O That's cool, I'll be able to attend then - again, don't worry about me if it's too much trouble! =p

"hot, humid, tropical"

The weather has been nice and cool recently (comparatively, since late last week) because of the rain ...but that has also made it even more humid!

I wouldn't have lasted the two years of military service (we call it national service) but I have friends going in soon and it still amuses me that they're *finally* growing up / are supposed to be the defenders of this country.

So I see it's the Cirque show eh, hope to be there and that you'll enjoy your time in Singapore (:

Coming from -5 degrees celsius (and down to -30 or -40 in the winters) this has been absolutely BOILING! I'm sweating every time I walk outside!!

And yes, it is. If you and a friend would like to go, please let me know and I will try to get you tickets.

every morning in school hearing our national anthem play over the crackly intercom system
I still think about that from time to time.;)

It's amazing how much you've travelled. I feel that way whenever I get back home too, I really do love Canada.

Canada is a great place, and I never forget it. I never forget that teacher who told me that about our anthem too, and I'm glad it stuck.

Argh, missed you in Chicago! Though it seems you were quite busy, so I understand. Have fun in Singapore! :)

I did. I had about five hours of free time aside from eating and sleeping in that time. It was nuts. I'm really sorry- I'm coming back though, as I usually do and I know that I'll have two things I didn't have when I came last time: Time, and a car.

Then we shall meet up, and coffee/cocktail/beer is on me. :)
