Stop. And go.
Stop. And go.
That's what my life has been like for the past two months. Craziness and laziness. I'm feeling a bit unbalanced, I've never had to follow a rhythm like this one before. *scratches head*
Next big concert is next Friday. Things should be heating up, yet we're only getting together for practice on Wednesday(!?). Come Thursday, we'll be running around with our guitars on our backs, trying to play as much as we can before the show. And then, Danny (the organizer) is throwing a party Thursday night after practice, which I find to be a very unreasonable thing to do because I have to be on stage the next night. Yeah, and since last night's rehearsal ended at 2.30 AM, I'm not counting on getting much sleep that night.
On the side, V and I are still working together. We've been looking for a drummer for what feels like ages (4+ months can be considered "ages", right?). We thought we had found the right one two weeks ago, but for reasons that don't need exploring... juncture, we have remained drummerless. For now. So, instead of practicing 5 songs over and over again (rock 'n roll without drums! It's a new concept!), we have begun writing and composing again.
I would go into a detailed description of just how orgasmic writing music can be, but I'll give you the zest instead: it is gooood! When a song starts to develop from a vague idea, and 3 or 4 chords, into something that is so much more, something that sounds like what you hadn't dared imagine, something that elates you... then, yes please! More! *happysquirms*
Ahem. Anyway...
In other news, I bought a new cage for my birds. The old one was rusting and... pretty much falling apart. I'll post pics of it later (before and after they enter their new playground).
That's it for now, I think. *switches off*
