Since not all of my friends are also attached to Belmikey, I post this, since I know it spread like wildfire, y'all. I took down the log in information and ask that you do too, if you posted it in your journal.

DON'T DO THIS MEME ANYMORE. PLEASE TELL ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO DID IT TO TAKE IT DOWN AND NOT KEEP THE LOG IN INFORMATION IN THEIR JOURNAL. MORE ( Read more... )

Calling people stupid certainly doesn't help, but sites that require usernames and passwords are usually legit... and passing around those usernames and passwords is usually not. :-)

what I meant, and what you *know* I meant, is that when I registered for a joblisting website through IC career services a few years ago, they gave me a pat username and password, the same that they give everyone. It was like, icalum, icalum or something stupid like that. I think it was just a way to track who was using it or if it was actually used or not, not necessarily a way to keep people in or out of the site. I could have passed it around freely, there were no rules about doing that or not.

Gotcha. I had no idea you meant that. Though in the circumstances you describe, in your shoes, I would probably have assumed that access was for the use of IC alums, and I wouldn't have spread it beyond that. Sorry to have misinterpreted you.
