It would be awesome to start stupidly early and really solve all the mysteries of music and the human experience... but with things with which I have experience I'd have to start around 100 BCE and in some spots I'd want to stop every 50 years... but to KNOW actually KNOW how medieval and renaissance musics were performed?!?!? I'd be set :)
