I know exactly what the original poster talking about here. On the day of the incident, before the shooter had even been identified, there was a 'criminal profiling expert' on CNN talking about how things like this will continue to happen until 'America wakes up and realizes that violence on TV and in video games, and pornography on the internet are the cause.'

WTF?

This lady, I wish I got her name, was clearly pushing an agenda. No one knew who the guy was, if he watched TV, played video games, or downloaded porn. As soon as I heard that comment, I turned the TV off and didn't watch it anymore that day and I have been avoiding the coverage of this ever since. To have this tragedy politicized and used to push an agenda is an utter travesty. Have we no shame as a society anymore?

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this tragedy and their families. May they find peace.

I was the original poster. I just posted it in a community I set up for this sort of discussion. =p

That said, thanks for your comment. You're exactly right about agendas.

I can't handle the news anymore. And people in my office have been watching feeds on their computers all day.
