I just want to point out that this is one of the first times I've seen the mood "quixotic" used correctly.

The people who take themselves the most seriously are the ones who scare me. They're the least tolerant of flaws in others (while overlooking their own in many cases).

The best thing I can think of is to reach out to people, to be friendly, and to laugh a lot.

I can't remember who said it, but how about "Be the change in the world that you want to see"? When the world pisses me off, I go do volunteer work, or something to help focus on the fact that not everyone around the world sucks. I try and ignore the horrible shit that I can't change at the moment all by myself, and find a place I can make a small difference. Will that stop the genocide in Darfur or other terrible things happening in the world? No, but it's a step in the right direction.

Actually, I'm generally more negative, but currently trying to become a more positive person :-)

It could also have been Mother Theresa.

Dave, when Shanna asked me to tell her more about you (you made quite the impression), I said "his laugh is one that you'll never forget, and want to hear more of."

That's my little piece of goodness for the day. :)
