soaking up the sun

it is still a bit chill indoors in the morning, though the temperature is said to return to the 70s after a few weeks of coldness.  I stepped outside unto the backyard.  the sun was warm and welcoming.  it's nice just standing and soaking up the sun

It's still cool at night. (By cool I mean under 60, which is cool for SoCal, but not for anywhere else on the planet besides the equator.) By night I mean from 11 to 5 in the morning, when you and everyone else I know are snoring away under a cover of blankets while I guzzle coffee and wipe frost from my windshield, thirty minutes late as usual.

I went to the Huntington months ago, in fall or summer (don't remember). I guess it was nice. It wasn't my idea. I don't know how to look at things like that. What's a garden? Don't know. I do remember shelling out $40 bucks for a couple hardcover writing journals I know I'll never write in. I collect them, I guess.

In case I don't see you (and I don't anymore), Happy Chinese New Year. Or, I guess, Gong Xi Fa Chai. Or something. Little Ling-ling. Hope you're happy. Yes, yes.
