I'm in the process of designing the Biochemistry/Microbiology faculty clothing, but I was told that I need to submit my design in vector format

The explanation of the difference between bitmaps and vectors is either really easy or really difficult. A quick Google can bring you up to speed.
Short answer: Bitmaps are like photographs. They have a limited amount of information. When you start scaling them to a larger size, they start to lose quality because you're creating 'false' pixels.
Vectors are like drawings or clipart. They contain lines, curves, and colour info. They are not as detailed as bitmaps (photographs). However, they scan be scaled infinitely and can be constantly modified. You could put a bitmap on the side of the moon or the side of a coin and they would look the same. They are like a 'lossless' file type.
If you need help with this stuff let me know. Or anyone else who took ACP (HINT: ASK KIRSTEN).
Vectors are those things I draw all the time, you would need to have some skill drawing on the computer to do it. or know something about illustrator or flash....
actually if what you draw isn't that complicated if you scan it I can vectorize it for you for a favor cuz you bought those Bloc party tickets so i didn't have to worry about going out to buy them!
Well, depending on what my design is in the end, it may be a bit complicated... it's not a huge deal - the t-shirt people said they could do it too but for a price.
As for the Bloc Party tickets, I'm still waiting for them to be sent. They should arrive this week, hopefully, but they arrive in Victoria. If they do, maybe I'll come back this weekend and call you to meet up. From my recollection, they were about $43 bucks or so. The exact number is from one of my earlier posts, I believe.
I did indeed. I got it from Voltage. You can order one through their website: http://www.voltageland.com
I never found Kidrobot stuff in Victoria, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Maybe the comic stores carry them, but I doubt it. It's neat though, huh?
And I don't know if I've ever told you this, but you need to keep drawing. I think you're radtastic. Yes sure, biology blah blah but still keep drawing... I wish I kept drawing but instead, my hands are tied by computers.

a vector is basically a mathmatical formula owen explained it pretty well, but he didn't link to wikipedia which is werid.
thats actually not very good explaination

I'm jealous that Gloomy Bear is your boyfriend. If only he were my boyfriend.
I do need to keep drawing. I'm looking into attending those drop-in art classes at Emily Carr. I may go this week for shits and giggles.
