Sweetie -- you're allowed to second guess/doubt yourself. Things like that happen, just don't allow yourself to get frustrated with it. You're still young and maybe one day you'll realize that that isn't what you really want to be doing. But you're also absolutely right when you say that it could simply be that you're not in the right lab. You shouldn't be uncomfortable in the place that you work; moreover, you shouldn't feel intimidated, or inferior, by those you work with. It's not acceptable that they make you feel that way.

I hope that the career fair is insightful for you.
I had more to say, but I seem to have just lost my train of thought. On that note: time to get ready for work.

Take care.

And no. Bowling isn't for everyone, but as long as you had fun, who cares?

Love the t-shirt!!!

I would love to see your semi-homo-erotic cartoonish quick sketches of nude guys who look like John Malkovich. You should post them!

on my first co-op, i worked at a place where the guy in the cubicle next to me didn't say hi to me *once* during the 4 months that i was there. everybody else was equally unsocial, too. the work was really neat- i got to help design a protection system for taiwan's electrical grid- but the people made the job hell.

of course the work you do plays a big part in how you feel about you job, but i think your coworkers either make it or break it. you're probably well-suited to this area of work, from the sound of it, but perhaps you just need to work with a more welcoming group of people. if you really can't fathom waking up and coming to work with those people every day, i would strongly suggest looking for something else. either way, best of luck in sorting it out.
