Hello. I'm newish, and i have been armed with reading the memories...
I have pretty much figured out (through a combination of common sense and "memories" entries) that polymer clay, no matter what it is glazed in (unless some weird and probably illegal liquid acrylic or someone has figured out how to encase the clay in glass), FIMO is a no-go for jewelry.
What about FIRED ceramics (you know, made with the REAL clay from our lovely planet) with glass-based, lead-free glazes? Is this safe for stretched piercings?
See, I am normally a glassblower, but I am looking for something new to occupy my hands while I am too poor to run a torch (who knows, if the clay is super-safe, I might sell my findings :] ). My mom was/is a potter and i have access to some of her old tools and glazes, plus my school has a kiln. Not to mention i have been working with the stuff since i was a toddler.
Thanks!
