yea, thats rough. my parents constantly give me a hard time for stretching my lobes, but then they dont do too much about it. but i guess just hold onto your tunnels and tapers till you turn 18!

good luck with your parents =)

I will probably just sell them to a friend, they cost a lot since I was dumb enough to buy from hot topic lol. I don't want that money to go to waste.

how did you get a tattoo without your parents consent?

they let me get it, my dad was totally fine with it, but my mom still isn't. they just think I will end up COVERED in tattoos one day.. [okay, I do want a sleeve done eventually, but by then I'll be out of the house and it wouldn't be a problem].

and they have theory that tattoos instantly means you're some punk.

So.... you knew they didn't like stretched ears, but you went ahead and stretched them anyway. Then you get mad because they found out. I'm only 17 but it blows my mind how kids are disrespectful to their parents these days.

you know (us) kids are, we have to do everything we want even if mom and dad say no (or even in spite of them saying no)

I knew my mom didn't like it, and I told her I was going to do it anyway and she said ok. she never told me not to, I figured she didn't like it but she was going to deal with it.

my parents don't like tattoos, but my sister is kind of covered in them and they just ignore the tattoos and love her anyway... and that is why i am going to get a tattoo.
but i know a lot of parents aren't the same as mine

maybe if you took an intelligent approach to it-- if you showed them some people who are modded and quite successful, or educated them on how "punks" really are/were (and how smart they are!). maybe if you told them your mild-modding intentions.
i know that when my dad says ignorant shit like yours did i go to him like an adult and present my situation. usually it works out
how old are you? i mean if you're 17.5 yu can easily wait it out

I would honestly be wasting my time trying to educate them on that stuff lol.
I'm turning 17 in 2 months. waiting over a year before I can stretch sucks but it's what I really want to do so I guess I'll just suck it up!

youll be glad you waited, especially if you decide in that time that you don't want stretched ears after all

my mom does a lot for me, and puts up with a lot. stretching is the one thing she really does hate, so i stopped (in my ears) and i stay at 2g.

i respect her enough to do that.

just wait it out.

:)

also, maybe try to explain body modification =/= "punk".

AND maybe cool it with the partying/shows/etc.? not stop completely, just show your maturity and you might get what you want in the long run.

I don't party often, lol. he is retarded -_-
I go to shows probably about 3 or 4 times a month.. he doesn't even get that the shows I'm going to aren't even punk music!
ugh. he's just really ignorant and stubborn and won't change his mind on this.

if I was at 2g, they would make me take them out probably. only if they knew though.

it's like, if my ears were like 00g and I had been stretching for a year but they didn't know, they would flip out mentioning the whole punk thing. as if for the past year I wasn't a punk, but now that they noticed my ears I am.

if that made any sense.
