I don't know about conches...but I stretched my cartilage and it didn't hurt really, just a bit difficult.

both of mine were pierced at 14g. they're both now at 10g. with the intent of one day being 6 or 4g. the stretch to 12g was nothing. 10g wasn't much more difficult. but that all depends on your pain tolerance. stretching cartilage is just a bolt of lightning and then it's gone. at least, to me.

would you say it hurts about as much as getting it pierced again? does it hurt for months? haha. these were some of the worst piercings for me, i'm kind of nervous that i'll end up sleeping on my arm for a few months again.

i guess it depends on the person. i always stretch after a shower. it feels like 'OMGMYEARISONFIRE' for about a millisecond and then it goes away [like said bolt of lightning]. when i stretched to 10g, i went out for the night and totally forgot that i even stretched them until someone asked me if i put new plugs in. and then of course they hurt if they get hit or you sleep on them wrong. i got to 10g at the end of december and they feel fine now. i plan on going to 8g probably sometime in march.

i suggest sf glass colorfronts. they're the best.

Ohh, I might go and check those out soon. Do they come in smaller sizes? I figured I'd just have to deal with CBRs and barbells until I get to the single digit gauges.

Ohhh, I'll keep that in mind. I actually did go and have a piercer help me because I needed the rings anyway, and the first thing I did was put it through my ear! :) Haha. Maybe I'll go up another size for my birthday in March! Thanks!

The one time I was punched, the dude fucked it up. The placement was incredibly wrong, and he punched it at 14g. So I'm a little wary of punching.

Plus, I already have the piercings!

Yeah, I didn't realize until after I pressed send that I could still get it punched, my mind is gone today I guess! Haha.

i stretched both of mine to 4g.

one of them was harder than the other so i downsized it (it was kind of gross looking to be honest). So now i have one 4g. conch and one 12g. conch haha.

I was thinking about getting my conch punched to match, but I don't really want to shell out the money ...

I'd never re-stretch them though. Not in a million years. I like the way it looks but it was way to hard/painful/resistant to stretching ...

not again, no thanks.

Oh noooo. Your 4g now is okay, though? The piercer I talked to today told me that if you stretch too much with inner ear piercings, the cartilage will collapse. :X Kinda scared me, but I don't know if he really knows what he's talking about.

Yeah, that's exactly what it started doing. It was collapsing in on itself. This only happened in my bitch ear though, the other one is a perfect round hole.
