I think I'm over the holidays by now, and I'm finally getting into the swing of things. Christmas and New Years were very personal events for my family this year, like most years. I hear Professor Slughorn threw a big New Years party. Sounds nice. Hope you all had fun. The next time James Potter throws a party and if he invites me, I'll probably go ( Read more... )

Oh! Heh...thank you, Alice. Glad you had a nice holiday this year, and yes, Professor Slughorn did in fact throw a New Year's party. It was alright, I suppose...a little too much on the posh side, but quite alright.

And quite right on the warning about that monster tree. One cannot take too many chances or test out their luck. Come to think of it...I think I should warn Dai about that too. Merlin knows how many times he has tempted fate already by diving into that lake with that nasty squid.

You're welcome. Well I hope you had fun there, at least.

You'd better keep Dai on a leash, I wouldn't want to see him hurt, at least not before winning us the Cup! There's always that crazy Gryffindor that likes teasing that tree anyway.

Fun might not be the best word to describe it, Alice... Oh yes...Professor Slughorn was as pretentious charming as ever.

As for Dai...yes, I do intend upon keeping him in tip-top shape, even if it means that I should end up confiscating his broom after every practice to keep him from getting near that monster tree. But he has not expressed interest in it...yet. Hopefully this won't give him any ideas!

EEP!

Oh, you know Frank Longbottom? His invite for you was torn up by that new owl he got, it needs a little better training. No worries though. Between you and me, Frank has something much better in store for you.

If you wanted to be invited to the one on Boxing Day, you could've just asked-- I didn't think much about formal invitations or anything like that, since it was more my parents' thing. When I next have one myself, rest assured your name'll be on the guest list right next to Frank's, heh.

I'm not saying that at all, Potter, I rather enjoyed myself these holidays. But thank you, in any case.

That tree's lethal. And the first years will insist on trying to get close enough to touch it... It's no wonder there've been so many injuries.

Yes, and I keep getting in trouble for using Summoning charms on tots that get too close to it. It's either that or watch them get bludgeoned to death, I suppose.

What an odd, odd tree.

I'm glad to hear that you had a good time with your family. That's important... and it sounds rather better than Slughorn's party... Except no Greta... It's a wonder he didn't invite you.
