Okay, I blame this all on _beetle_. Really. It is completely and totally her fault. Completely. *g*

*sigh* I'm dabbling in a new fandom. Hopefully I, and this, don't completely suck.

I swear I'll give you a nice, long, appreciate comment later, but right now all I want to say it that this is now one of my favorite fics. You're right that it's dark, but it's wonderful. Maybe it's spiteful of me, or evil, but this is my favorite part.

Taking another step closer, Leonard McCoy leaned in, nearly spitting in the other man's face as he talked to him in a stage whisper. "I'd be careful in the shower if I were you. I would hate for you to get a taste of your own medicine."

Loud hollers and whoops were heard then, prisoners from all down the halls yelling things like, "Can't wait to show you your place, bitch!" and "I'll give him a taste!" and worse things that made even McCoy a little afraid.

I was grinning in satisfaction because not only is Mccoy clearly in charge (and manipulative), but he rallied the criminals to, in a way, come to Pavel's defense. The picture I have in my head of that moment is truly wonderful.

Wow! Really? I'm so happy! *bounces* I loved Bones being the badass at the end. He needed to do that for Chekov. I'm glad it worked for you too.

This story was so amazing. I had to stop a few times because I wanted to smash Monroe's face in, so it took me a while to get through it, but I'm glad I did.

Yeah, I wanted to too - and I created him! Of course, I couldn't let him get away with it and I imagine all kinds of nastiness is happening to him as we speak! I'm glad you stuck with it. Thanks for the comment. *g*

You covered this topic very well. What a dark story, but the hope and wonderful bit of revenge at the end made it all worthwhile. Beautifully done! ;-)

Thank you. I'm a sucker for hurting the characters I love the most then make them better. I just had to make Monroe pay for hurting Chekov. I'm so glad you liked it too.

I'm a bit the same; I've certainly hurt my favourite characters more than once! Making them better is the fun part, no? ;-)

I am absolutely in love with this bit! It's so tender and caring and really seems to capture how protective McCoy feels of Chekov.
