So a lady I work with had these slippers she loved, but they were falling apart, so I told her I'd try to make another pair for her. I did some reverse engineering and they turned out pretty well. I figured I'd better write it down, just in case she ever wants more.

This might not make any sense, if anybody else wants to make it. If you try and need help, just ask. There's a bit of origami going on to make them work.

I used Red Heart yarn held double throughout and a J/10 hook.

Work in back loop throughout.

Chain 43.
Row 1: SC starting the in the third chain from the hook.
Row 2: Ch1, SC 19, 2 sc in next 2 SC, SC to end.
Row 3, 5: Ch1, SC across.
Row 4: Ch1, SC 20, 2 sc in next 2 SC, SC to end.
Row 6: Ch1, SC 21, 2 sc in next 2 SC, SC to end. (48 sts)

Work 10 more rows sc. (16 rows total.)

Fold in half, sc edges together about 10 sts. Turn inside out, sc about 30 around edge of opening. Work 11 more rows sc. On 13th row decrease to 28 sts.

Next row: sc3, skip 1 around.
Next row: sc2, skip 1 around.
Next row: sc1, skip 1 around.
Next row: sc1, skip 1, sc1, finish off.

Turn inside out and sc back of slipper together.
