Hey there, glorious flist.
I'm trying to set up a WANT-TO-READ List for myself. I love reading, it just always fades into the background if I don't have a good book, or at least a title, waiting for me. I plan to resolve that! As long as school and such doesn't get in my way =P

Neil Gaiman. Pretty much anything by him.

If you would prefer an actual set of titles, start with Neverwhere or Stardust. At some point, read American Gods, then Anansi Boys. He's like no other author. Neverwhere is like Alice in Wonderland with violence.

(If nothing else, read American Gods. Best book ever.)

I second the Neil Gaiman rec, and would particularly recommend Stardust, Neverwhere or The Graveyard Book which just won an award.

I really like Francine Rivers and Shannon Hale (The Goose Girl) too.
