Eww, Adam Lambert Got His Special Sauce on Simon.

Britain's Got Talent is so ridiculous. People tell me to watch video clips on YouTube of amazing singers, but it's so hard to watch them because of how stupidly dramatic the whole thing is. WHAT IS WITH THE MUSIC? I FEEL LIKE I'M WATCHING LORD OF THE RINGS BECAUSE OF HOW EPIC IT IS. I want to slap the female judge. STOP CRYING. BAAAAW. At least ( Read more... )

Seriously. Chris told me she's only in her 40s, which is pretty shocking.

First off, Daria wins so much.

I really admire anyone who doesn't just wilt under Simon's evil eye gaze attack, but I dislike BGT because whenever there's a talented person on, the audience screams, claps, stomps, and pratically audibly shits themselves so loudly that I can't focus on the person performing.

But those two really are good. Susan Boyle's fame is a real stunner. She even has a Wikipedia page that's really filled out quite nicely.

Exactly. It's so overwrought. HER FAME IS THE ONLY STUNNER.

Susan Boyle was like the end of Rudy but in talent show form! With that said, I don't think her voice is as ridiculously spectacular as some people go on about.

And really, the theatrics on Britain's Got Talent are too much where American Idol's are not? I kind of like BGT more now (based on that clip, which is the only one I've ever seen), because it's like it's more about using talent well and not just having the certain types of voices that they prefer on Idol.

Yeah, she wasn't OMGANGELSAREDESCENDINGONEARTH.

Oh, no, not at all. Idol doesn't have the amazingly orchestrated soundtrack that BGT does. Also, the audience doesn't go batshit with tears and applause, standing two seconds into a performance. LOL. It's just so over the top compared to the lameness of Ford commercials and judges' bickering. I'm not arguing the fact that these contestants have talent compared to fitting a mold in Idol; just that the reactions are incredibly emotional.

Nevermind, I apologize. Idol is stupidly theatrical with its results shows. Ryan Seacrest keeps looking more like a baby each season. It's creepy.

I think that because Susan Boyle was so fuckin'... weird, and looked like she was going to go on doing a skit about her cats or something, that's why people were so shocked and started cheering. They weren't expecting anything out of her and were generally just making a mockery of her, and then she starts singing and it's just awesome.

But I agree. The crowd would cheer and scream and start bawling if a dog came out with a top hat on and barked the ABC's.
