I don't know if Magdelena should know grammar or not, but WERE aboard the Mayflower.
I don't know if this was on purpose or not, just had to say something into the internet to make me superior in some shape or form.

Yeah, except for the fact that you're completely wrong.
Things in prepositions don't count. You cut them out. It's "one (of our ancestors) WAS..."
You don't say "one were." You say "one was." Only ONE of the many ancestors she had WAS on the mayflower.
Do not correct my grammar.

See, I do not correct people's grammar for that very reason. I have no idea what I am talking about. ;)
Plus, unless you are an English teacher it just seems rude.

I made it a point to never correct my Grammer. She was a tough old Glaswegian lady and would hit me with a stick if I tried...TC

See, I do not correct people's grammar for that very reason. I have no idea what I am talking about. ;)
