Every now and then in my life, my brain chemistry seems to change so dramatically that I find myself behaving in a completely unfamiliar way. I wonder how much your inability to daydream about possible futures has to do with the fact that you are currently contented? Not just happy, but satisfied with your life in a way that makes contemplation of truly astounding changes in your circumstances distinctly unappealing?
I'm glad to hear that you are happy with your son. Just thinking about sitting and breastfeeding makes me smile and feel deeply peaceful.

That's a good point. I never thought of myself as discontent before, but I do have a feeling these days that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
