Just... ugh. So good. The dynamics of it all, the way the characters are portrayed, just... all of it.
How Ryoma couldn't stop thinking about Tezuka, those little glimpses of what Tezuka thought and felt, and how Ryoma played his father and actually got into a tie break and ran away... Even birthdays! I loved how you started with Ryoma's birthday and ended with Tezuka's. And the tennis matches just killed me. As did Ryoma's jealousy and Fuji's sly/knowing looks even as he doesn't even really do anything but watch.
I could gush on forever and ever and ever. XD; Excellent piece. Thanks for the wonderful read. ^^
Generally, I’m not a big fan of pairings featuring Tezuka; I can count only on one hand how many writers there are that make me want to read, and actually enjoy, a Tezuka-pairing story. Actually, to be honest, there are only two other writers that can make Tezuka a character for me - not only featured in a pairing, but just being… Tezuka. It’s so rare that I can find a Tezuka in a fanfic that I read and go, “Wow, that person really knows Tezuka as a character, and not just a expression-less, personality-less, toast-like Buchou.”
This story was just… guh. Guh, guh, guh. I was suckered into it - everything from the rich writing (especially how you manage to make tennis matches come alive), to the characterization (there isn’t one character seen in this story that make me wince and/or shake my head at); the mood, the tone, the dynamics... just everything. I’m blown away - simply blown away

Oh gods, you're making me tear up here. Thank you so much - I am ridiculously attached to this story, so to have such positive reactions is wonderful. Thank you.
This onslaught of divine TezuRyo has effectively turned my brain into mush. *takleglomps* Favorite PoT fic ever, I can say without a doubt, right here and now. You've got the atmosphere and the interactions perfectly.and goodness, are you sure you're not a sports commentator in disguise?
Other fics are more about emo and sometimes I get lost in the descriptions, there's a feeling of vagueness but here, I follow, it's crystal clear.
OMG *hearts* YOU MAKE THEM COMMUNICATE VIA TENNIS!!! I love you so much for writing this *flails around* (It sort of reminds me of the Chinese martial arts movies/novels where the super-good heros talk to each other using the names of their moves, but this is better.)
May I worship you, like, right now? *set up temple and everything* (Lj: you are rambling and spamming. Shut up.)
Oh, the tennis. It's just so important to both of them. It's impossible not to love it as much as they do. *wails* And when Ryoma hits the zero-shiki for the first time, against Hiyoshi - that's so all about telling Tezuka he'll be the pillar.
In the past week, I've been priviledged to read not one, but two of the best stories I have ever, ever read. I am stunned at the effortless beauty of this piece, the way that their relationship is built first and foremost from the passion of the game and how that segues seamlessly into skin on skin, and hands and mouths sliding together. What an outstanding story!

Please excuse me while my fangirlness retards at you--for the TezuRyoness is shiny and glaring at me, and I must therefore squee at it. Repeatedly.
Thank you.
