But Karupin's really not that much better. And it's almost an OT3, what with 'family reasons' and various other descriptions of Tezuka/Karupin. That was so cute, even if I felt like someone was kicking me in the chest.

I read few stories that ever made me want to cry but this just got to me. The way you've written make it possible for readers to almost feel the pain the characters are going through. And the last line is just so good then aging everything was just perfect.

Tezuka can remember their first official meeting, Ryoma conducting careful introductions as though the fate of their relationship had hung on the cat's reaction. This part is so sweet and exactly what Ryoma would do, and I wonder how Ryoma would go about his relationship with Tezuka if Karuping didn't approve. (Which wouldn't happen, of course, but hypothetically...)

Oh, Karupin. God, the very idea of Karupin dying makes me want to weep. Ohhh... you really bring out Ryoma's emotion in this, and the way that Karupin is part of their family, and now that he's gone, Ryoma is so broken.

I killed Karupin :(((( *wails* I'd kind of had the idea in my mind for a while, because it's just... one of those inevitable things. It'll have to happen someday, and Ryoma. Karupin was the first friend he ever had.

I love how you kept the tension through the beginning, not explicitly telling us what was going on until half way through, and then we wanted to feel relieved because it wasn't Ryoma, but we couldn't because it was Karupin. ::wibbles::

It was beautiful heartache and the characterizations were spot-on which made it even more poignant. Thank you for sharing :)
